Services for Government
State Records is the recordkeeping and archival authority for the South Australia Government, as well as the official custodian for archival records created by State and Local Government agencies within South Australia. State Records is committed to assisting agencies in meeting compliance with the State Records Act 1997. State Records also supports the Minister responsible for the Freedom of Information Act 1991 and the Information Privacy Principles Instruction.
State Records has two websites; this site for ‘Services for Government’ and ‘Archive Services’ which is designated for services to the public.
This site provides Records Management assistance to State and Local government agencies within South Australia including:
- standards, guidelines and advice sheets on Records Management practices
- the transfer of records into the collection
- agency record loans, and
- enrolment into training courses covering Freedom of Information or Records Management practices.
This site also offers assistance to government agencies on Freedom of Information and Information Privacy.
