State Records can help with enquiries about how the South Australian Government agencies collect, manage, use, store or disclose personal information.

We cannot help with privacy enquiries about Federal Government (e.g., Centerlink, Medicare or the Australian Tax Office), government agencies in other States, private sector organisations (e.g., real estate agents, banks or telecommunications providers), private doctors and other private health professionals, South Australian Universities or Local Government Councils.

Information about individuals' rights in respect to Federal Government agencies or private sector organisations, including doctors and other private health professionals can be obtained from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
